Every one of us has a special ability which we can use to serve our fellow human beings. Every one of us has a dream – to do something which will truly benefit our fellow human being. Yes, for most of us, our dreams die because we are not allowed to pursue them. Rochdale Science Initiative C.I.C’s foundations personally resonate with me – the dream of a young man, to share his love for science with his friends and his community, and the audacity of this young man to pursue his dream is awe inspiring.

I am a father of three girls. This initiative has opened my eyes to the importance of having a dream, and the parental support needed to help our children realise their dreams. Personally, I want all three of my daughter’s to have dreams and to chase after them. I never want them to settle for anything but their biggest dream. I want them to be whatever they want to be. I hope the world will give them everything and offer them all the opportunities that will get them excited about life. Like all other young people, they deserve it.

I am looking forward to working with my fellow colleagues – to create opportunities of scientific discovery and learning platforms for our children to shine. We’ll be there every step of the way to share some advice, or just stand back, watch, smile and applaud another milestone.

I hope fellow parents will join us on this journey of helping future generations from our own community to pursue their dreams.
